Snowshoeing at Salmon la Sac--our FHE

My laptop at the cabin is on it's last leg...so I can't blog about Christmas or our trips for some reason...but I could download our latest adventure from my iphone--
so here's how we spent Monday afternoon...
snowshoeing at
Salmon la Sac groomed trails...
this is my new "winter skill"...
maybe next year I'll try cross-country skiing!

Here's Ron checking out the map...making sure we don't get run over by the snowmobiles!!

The map of the groomed trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing--the snowmobiles go up the mt to the right!!!    --we feel so blessed to have found a cabin in such a great area

Look, no hands!!
Salmon la Sac campground has a lot of old growth forest...the hanging moss is incredible
The snow covered outhouses
So much fun to spend time together....
crazy how much snow is still in this area
this is how close I wanted to get to the edge of the bridge!
making the loop around the campground
one of the many creeks in the area
After one hour and 25 minutes of snowshoeing...hot and sweaty...but so much fun... we are definitely doing this next weekend--maybe going all the way to the Cooper River trail!!
