Being Grandparents....the blessings of babysitting!

One of the joys of being a grandparent is being
asked to babysit~~
really, unlike when I was younger and
did not like to babysit at all~~
being asked to babysit your grandgirls is amazing!!

We have "craft time" with glitter and puff paints,
We have manicures and pedicures
with sparkly pink and purple polish--

We have movie time, where we
snuggle during the "scary" parts...

We play Barbies--where Riley wants to be
"grandma Barbie" --
You know the one with the long blond hair
wearing the red evening gown!
I love their idea of what a grandma can be!!

And now that it's turning Spring
(yes, it is....even if we have to bundle up)
we get to go for a walk around the pond...

Lucy is a HAPPY girl,
always has a smile
that just melts your heart...

and she thinks she is big enough
to stand only holding on with one hand...
she is ready to walk!!

When the parents returned from their
weekend get-away
we celebrated Michael's birthday--

How much do I love my son...
I made him the famous Vanilla Torte..
that's how much!!

Lucy was napping after church--

I think Michael's wishes have come true...

I know that being a grandmother,
is a dream come true for me!!
